And the way she started, asking him about his days cutting trees, was offensive to him so neither of them was in a good mood or very nice to the other.

and it IS fast and yummy. About as much trouble as making mac&cheese from a box. Haha!

Oh! But seriously, the by-play between Gilles and Thérèse was interesting in that I thought it was strange that she had to play everything so close to the vest. Just tell the man my mind was shouting!
I just might try that chicken recipe too! Sounds fast and yummy. I have an egg/cream cheese breakfast pancake that uses the blender too. I've also had similar discussions with real people. I usually don't insist. But it's been known to help. LOL!

As for canned chicken, I'd never heard of it before. Honest. This time around in the US I saw some and thought it would be a good shortcut for this recipe. It was. I sometimes (like later this weekend) will put it together (the casserole) ahead of time and either freeze or refrigerate it until I need it. If I'm going to be making a mess in the kitchen anyway, I go ahead and make it, then it's an easy well loved meal for later in the week. That's ANOTHER thing I love about it.Amarilishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07334094570722137524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393103112234626377.post-43166143306280936682017-01-07T13:23:09.451-08:002017-01-07T13:23:09.451-08:00Sounds great - I'm going to try this - with th...Sounds great - I'm going to try this - with the rosemary, I think, as I love the aroma of rosemary cooking! A year or so ago, I thought that the idea of canned chicken to have on hand all the time was a good one - but it turned out my husband thought it was "vile", so there it sits. I've used it a couple of times for casseroles, or pot pies, and it works if cooked, but not for what I wanted, which was to add to a salad for a quick summer meal. I have two cans left - and I think this will be perfect!

Misunderstandings - the bedrock upon which most fiction sits! Have you ever had long discussions with the characters in a book, explaining (AGAIN) why they should talk to so-and-so and tell what they've been leaving out? Sometimes, I shout - all to no avail.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08877038657361699565noreply@blogger.com
